Cardano became the most advanced crypto on Github in 2021 – Santiment

According to data compiled by CryptoRank and Santiment, Cardano (THERE IS) was the most developed crypto on Github in 2021 with over 140,000 events.

The top 3 were rounded off by Kusama and Polkadot in second and third place with roughly the same number of events over the year. Cardano has outperformed Ethereum’s development activities by a wide margin, with the latter taking fourth place. mood Are defined a Github event as either creating a problem, creating a pull request, commenting on an issue or pull request and forking / starring / watching a code repository, among others.

In a live youtube session last week Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson announced that there are around 127 projects under development on the Cardano blockchain. In addition, Hoskinson expects the number of ADA users to increase tenfold from the current 2 million thanks to the growing popularity of non-fungible tokens.

Cardano’s technological advances continue to grow in importance even after Alonzo. One of the notable works of the blockchain is that Layer 2 Hydra upgradethat directs out-of-chain transactions to staking pools without partitioning the general ledger itself. In theory, it could enable advanced linear scaling of the network with hundreds of “hydra nodes” each processing hundreds of transactions.

Another notable mention is a novel fintech funding mechanism known as the Initial Stake Pool Offering (ISPO), which is unique to the Cardano blockchain. In this setup, blockchain enthusiasts delegate their cryptos in a protocol and receive tokens of the new project, which they finance as a reward. In contrast, the ADA staking rewards go to the developers. Funds don’t leave the delegator’s wallet, which makes the process fairly secure. Such a project Genius yield, saw its ISPO pools exceed $ 118 million in a 24-hour period.
