Searching bike cameras for action and security on and off road

Seeker is a new range of bike cameras designed to both capture the action and help you stay safe on the roads. The 4K modular action camera features an intelligent lighting system and a digital e-rearview mirror. The project, which launched via Kickstarter this month, has already increased its required pledge goal, with 29 days remaining. The rechargeable batteries offer 4K at 60 frames per second and can offer up to 300 minutes of recording time on a single charge. Housed in an IPX 5 waterproof housing, the cameras double as a smart taillight, allowing traffic to see you clearly from a distance.

“According to RoSPA, 16,884 cyclists were injured in reported road accidents in 2019, including 4,433 who were killed or seriously injured. The numbers also exclude off-road bicycle accidents. Although the number of fatalities is correct, there could be two or three times as many seriously injured cyclists and twice as many slightly injured. Arterials accounted for 65 percent of fatal accidents in Outside’s database. They found that poorly designed intersections along these roads posed serious hazards to cyclists. “

The usual glance over the shoulder for a quick traffic check (changing lanes or stopping) often puts many cyclists in danger. With the SEEKER R1 and its 150 wide-angle FOV, you can now be alerted to any oncoming vehicles coming from behind, allowing you to safely switch lanes with confidence.”
